Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had very good and clean rooms, despite the recurring loud noise issue that was not addressed by the staff. The location at the top of the staircase near the private dining area led to intrusive noise from the stairway.
Upon arrival, the room was uncomfortably hot and the location outside was not ideal, especially in the rain. We were disappointed to find the restaurant closed, and further let down by the lack of promised amenities like Bluetooth and electric blinds. The suite's door didn't lock, and the bath leaked hot water everywhere, ruining our weekend. Service was slow in the pub, and we had to keep chasing up our drinks. While the location was beautiful, the stay was marred by disappointing service and unexpected issues.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room had some issues with the door lock and hot water leakage, but the suite I was moved to had a lovely patio. The service was mostly good, though one staff member was unprofessional. The location was ideal, especially for meat lovers, but there were some noisy and construction-related drawbacks. The dining experience was a mix of beautifully presented dishes and some disappointments. Overall, a stay with both positives and negatives.
